Air Classifier
How It Works
Crushed mixed talc powder is conveyed into the grading chamber through air transport pipelines. Secondary regulating air is introduced from the lower side to form a stable swirling airflow that evenly suspends lamellar talc particles.
The central high-speed turbine wheel generates a powerful centrifugal field. Ultra-fine thin talc flakes flow through blade clearances with the airstream and are collected as finished products by cyclones and bag dust collectors. Dense talc agglomerates carry great centrifugal inertia, collide against the chamber wall, slide downward and circulate back to the main grinding machine for regrinding.
Modulating turbine rotating speed and auxiliary air volume adjusts the classification cut point, which accurately controls talc fineness and minimizes oversize particles to satisfy various specification standards of industrial talc fillers.
Performance Features
Vertical Eddy Current Classifier — High-Throughput General-Purpose Type
Suitable for mass production of conventional industrial talc fillers. Omni-directional uniform air intake fully disperses lamellar talc flakes, achieving high classification efficiency, low pressure loss, as well as low equipment investment and running cost. It serves as the mainstream matching equipment for dry processing lines equipped with ceramic ball mills for bulk talc production.
Horizontal Turbine Classifier — High-Precision Ultrafine Type
Customized for high-end ultrafine talc with D97 less than 6μm. Single-side air intake design and cantilever-mounted classification wheel form an extremely clear particle cut point with nearly no coarse residue left. It steadily produces narrow-size-distribution submicron talc powder, perfectly matching high-purity, high-value scenarios including electronic insulation and cosmetic grade talc raw materials.
